Design West Engineering

Design West Engineering wanted an aesthetic to appeal to architect clients, and enable them to compete with larger firms. For their identity, I drew inspiration from industry imagery—ducts, piping and mechanical drafting symbols. The graphic motif is sophisticated, yet friendly reflecting the company itself—engineers with great communication and customer service.

For the capabilities book, I requested case studies to highlight special expertise and approach. Working with a project manager, we hired a photographer to showcase these projects and capture their core work, the actual piping systems. The book is binded with frosted covers or bound in aluminum binders etched with their logo for bigger budget projects. The result was a boost in confidence and increased competitive power—they sent out over 50 books in the first six months, three times the expectation!
